 The patented GlassWedge™ consists of a high impact Plastic Wedge Isolator and a high strength Aluminum Wedge. The GlassWedge™ provides the installer with a simpler, cleaner method of setting
tempered glass panels in Wagner’s structural shoe moulding. Complete installation instructions and video may be viewed at

  • GlassWedge™ is available for nominal 1/2" (12mm) and 3/4" (19mm) tempered glass. The system allows for the following variations in glass thickness:
    • For 1/2" (12mm) glass from .470" (11.938mm) to .490" (12.446mm)
    • For 3/4" (19mm) glass from .746" (18.948mm) to .766" (19.456mm)
  • Due to tolerance variances in the production of GlassWedge™ components and tempered glass itself, the GlassWedge™ System may not be suitable for all applications.
  • GlassWedge™ is not to be used with laminated glass.

Tap the aluminum wedge
into place using the
special chisel available
from Wagner.
 Done!
Check plumb then drive the aluminum wedge to locked position.
Note: Dimensional tolerances in the shoe are critical. To purchase the GlassWedge™ for use with similar shoe mouldings by others, a waiver will need to be be provided confirming dimensions fall within tolerance requirements.

GLASSWEDGE REMOVAL TOOL
Wedge yoke, fulcrum tool and handle combine to remove the aluminum
locking wedge and permit repositioning or replacement of glass panels.
