Annie has found creative inspiration in Wagner’s pipe and elbows, using them to shape the foundation of her metal sculptures. Traditionally used in railing systems, these components take on a new life in her nature-inspired series, providing resilience and refinement.
Annie’s Butterfly Bonsai series has found homes across the country, from a private residence in Greensboro, Georgia, to a vineyard in Napa Valley. One striking installation in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, stands over seven feet tall and six feet wide. Wagner pipe and elbows form the intricate roots and branches that anchor the sculpture in place.
Her Great Blue Heron series has been equally impactful. Wagner’s pipes and elbows form the sweeping branches where each heron rests, grounding the sculptures with strength and elegance.
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum first displayed Stealth, a nine‑foot‑tall heron. A retired Brigadier General later gifted it to Centennial Lake Park in Edina, Minnesota. The park permanently installed the sculpture there.
Another piece, The Wanderer, now graces a private Minnesota home. Its steel tree stretches more than six feet tall and seven feet long, supporting a stainless-steel heron that stands over five feet high.
