Most often I see this type of issue at airports where railings can run hundreds of feet. The splice connections are typically placed at a handrail bracket mount location. The problem is that these joints are typically done with an internal splice and adhesive. As building settles, the forces in play will pull the joints apart — despite the epoxy joint.

The results are these unsightly gaps which cannot be fixed.

This was our impetus for creating Slip-Fit Handrail Brackets.

Look at the difference when a Slip-Fit handrail bracket is used instead of a standard internal splice. The splices are hidden within the Slip-Fit barrel providing a clean appearance that meets the graspability requirements for the handrail.

Additionally, no welding is required at the joint. As a mechanical joint, any building expansion of movement would be hidden away within the Slip-Fit barrel. Installation is quick and easy.

One customer reported that I finished 6 of the 7 rooms in two days, a total of 17 hours X 3 men. My original estimate was 10 days X 3 men.
